On Tuesday, June 7th during a Fire & Rescue/Law Enforcement Appreciation dinner two of our local heroes were honored with awards. We wanted to take a moment and say thank you to them. Without these two and the hundreds of others in our community we wouldn’t be able to call Pitt County such a wonderful and safe place to live. They continue to strive to make our city better and for that they deserve serious recognition. Leigh Buckhout of the Winterville Police Department was honored with Law Enforcement Officer of the year and Donnie Hardee of Greenville Fire and Rescue was honored with Fire and Rescue Employee of the year. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for doing what you do every day. We truly appreciate your hard work and dedication to our community. Although you deserve so much more we hope you enjoy your new Citizen watches as a token of our gratitude.
