Then there is the bride who may work with her hands more than most, whether she be athletic, like to work in the yard, a doctor or nurse, someone who works with kids, and the list goes on. Just yesterday I got a text message from my sister saying, I have decided I don’t want anything conventional, and then went on to describe and send pictures of exactly what she wanted. She is a mother, a marathon runner, and among other things a “do-it-yourselfer.” Her reasoning for an unconventional ring is, she wants the sparkle, she just doesn’t want it to get in the way of life.
