Are you dating someone who is a little outside the box? Does her style tend to be a little eccentric, unique, one of a kind? Well you may be getting ready to buy the “unconventional” engagement ring. There has been a boom in completely original engagement rings. Just in the month of March we sold a colored stone as a center in lieu of a diamond, and that was by the brides request. Her words exactly, “I don’t want anything any one of my friends is going to have, I want it to be completely different.”
Then there is the bride who may work with her hands more than most, whether she be athletic, like to work in the yard, a doctor or nurse, someone who works with kids, and the list goes on. This bride specifically may ask for something like a wide, vintage, unique eternity band, much known as an anniversary band, instead of a diamond engagement ring. How do I know this? Just yesterday I got a text message from my sister saying, I have decided I don’t want anything conventional, and then went on to describe and send pictures of exactly what she wanted. She is a mother, a marathon runner, and among other things a “do-it-yourselfer.” Her reasoning for an unconventional ring is, she wants the sparkle, she just doesn’t want it to get in the way of life.
Is your lady a little on the “can’t make up her mind” side? White, yellow, rose, or all of the above, I completely feel her pain… how could you possibly decide? Well perhaps she doesn’t have to! As you saw above with the beautiful Rose and white gold ring there are plenty of pieces out there that have not just one but all three metals included in the piece. Here are some of my favorite unconventional two or tri tone pieces!
At the end of the day, whether she is a classic bride, or an unconventional bride, don’t be worried, Robinsons always has your back! We love putting our thinking caps on and finding the perfect piece for your perfect woman!
